Hi, I’m Cheryl, and I’m so glad you’re here!

I started my first quilt over 18 years ago, and I knew right from the start that for me, quilting would be a passion for life. I started out doing a combination of hand piecing, and machine piecing + quilting on a vintage Viking sewing machine - a machine that had belonged to my husband's grandmother and was gifted to me by mother-in-law. I still love that machine - and my fabulous MIL! 😊

Fast forward a few years and I added a Juki TL-2010 Q for my piecing and quilting. I've always quilted my own quilts, and dreamt of what I could do with a machine that had more throat space. A couple years ago the time was right and I set out to find a longarm. I purchased an APQS Millie with a 26" throat, started my longarm quilting business, and haven't looked back!

At the same time that I was looking at longarms, I was at a quilting retreat and met Jess Zeigler, founder of the Longarm League, which is a membership of professional longarm quilters. I was ready with questions, and we chatted about her course, Rookie Season, which guides you step by step through starting a longarm quilting business. Shortly after retreat Jess asked me to come work for her, and I now spend most of my time working with the League and helping others start their own longarm businesses, while running my quilting business on the side.

A few years ago I added making and selling handcrafted goods to my business, and you'll find me at art fairs and markets throughout the year.

I absolutely love helping others, whether it's helping to choose colors and fabrics for a quilt, coming up with quilting design ideas, or sharing the sewing tips and tricks I've learned over the years. It's such a joy to spend my days immersed in the world of quilting and creating, and I'd love to collaborate with your on your next quilting project!
